ALL NIGHTER

This past week I was forced to pull an all nighter (which means K.P was forced to pull an all nighter) in order to complete a book of mine titled Elegant Neglect, due the following day. It happens occasionally, and when it does we try to make the most of it order pizza (Domino's 10 dollar deal) buy snacks, listen to bad music to loud, you know the usual. This one though had none of the afore mentioned sweetness, it mainly consisted of stressing out, silence, and over priced pad thai. By the umpteenth printer failure we headed to an all night printer in midtown. Biking in the city at 5 in the morning with slight rain made for an interesting experience and highlight of the night. The picture of Kells in the chair is at the printers, I snapped it right as she opened her eyes. I love it because her face reads exactly how she feels... On the ride home we swung through time sq. to see it in the off hour, just as the sun was creepin up.

INKING UP

Tonight we did a little wood type letterpress project making some t-shirts...some for christmas pressys some for fun.

Here is Cardon's set up.
Inking it up and rearing to go

My set up
This one turned out pretty well, specially made for JT & SP. A little tribute to the fruit farms.
Things can get pretty messy with all the ink, especially when you have to clean it all up. But that is part of the beauty of the whole process!

BOO HOO

Nooo sniff, sigh, one of our favorite fruit and produce stands down the street is calling it quits... I had to take pictures to not only preserve this gem, but to show you how amazing it is/was. Astoria Ditmars taint what it used to be.

MORE HALLOWS EVE

I had to post a few more pictures from Halloween that i forgotten to earlier. Here is a picture of the annual Halloween parade down 6th Ave. from my office window.
I had to post this. This was by far my favorite costume of the night. I secretly wished it was me. It reminded me of my roommates in college nijaing as well as Cardon's brother Logan who is master nija.

SUNDAY BIKE RIDES

This past Sunday we went on a sticky sweet bike ride, exploring Queens. Cruizing along the east river.
We fell upon this neglected sculpture garden that felt like we were tresspassing on someones private property. It is in the oddest spot and filled with curious things.

Check out the caption.
I love all this colors in this one.

There are so really great hills in this park to ride on. They look more wimpy then they are in real life.
Then we found these amazing sculptures, we guess tryig to represent street life in the eighties, or maybe they are from the eighties. either way odd and interesting. Batman shirt and roller skates... so good.

And last but not least we found this, a personal fav. Pure Genius!

HALLOWEEN RECAP

Here is a quick recap of our Halloween events. One of our biggest clients at my work is American Express, so my co-workers and I dressed up as a group costume, each depicting different parts of the credit card. I am the blue box. It was a pretty sweet group costume. My fav is identity theft to the left, and the magnetic strip.
Cardon and some of his friends built a hilarious costume of a Chipotle burrito in the hopes of scoring some free eats from the establishment.

First attempt...
Two free burritos and a drink! (drink not shown)
Delicious and well worth the effort...
deburritoing to pass on the the wealth.
next up Jeff.
Two more free burritos and another drink. Thanks Chipotle!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN
