30 COVERS IN 30 DAYS

The Office of Letters and Light organizes events where kids and adults find the inspiration, encouragement, and structure they need to reach their creative potential. I was asked along with 30 other designers to design a book cover off of a short synopsis in 24 hours. As part of November being National Creative Writing month. Below is the cover I produced in the 24 hour time limit. In that time I also roped in a good friend Aubrey Trinnaman to stalk, shoot and send me some photos which she did in around 20 hours. SOME COLD WEATHER CAMPING

This weekend past we went camping in the Catskill's. In the grand company of Holls Hacket and Graydon and Lindsay Kolk. Although it was a bit nippy, we had a great time. We fell upon the softest camping spot ever when we went on a hike to Frik pond.It was nice to sleep under the stars one more time before winter sets in. Thanks to Lindsay for the photos, our camera ran out of battery. Check out more photos here. Some events to note, Dairy King, Zombean, Frack!, Chick pot pie, Water fall, cider, miniature horses, roasted bananas, food from bears tree, and of coarse taily poe.

ROAD TRIP! VT!

This is a poor mans post. Meaning we hiested most to all the content and copy from other blogs. Go here and here, to see and read more of what we got up to this past weekend. thanks for the photos and adventures Ty and Kenz!

We had a rad Labor Day weekend. We had a rough plan to head north to Southern Vermont for camping and swimming. On our way, we made a serendipitous stop in Saugerties, NY, where we met Rae Stang, the owner of a chocolate shop. When we told her we didn't have a place to stay, she offered to put us up for the night if we'd help clean up the shop and then help her set up her farmers market booth the following morning. Rae had a beautiful old truck and an amazing apartment above the chocolate shop, full of awesome modern design (see below). Despite Rae's hospitality and invites to stay another day, we moved on to Vermont, where we had scoped out some fantastic swimming and cliff jumping spots. In the pics below, we're cliff jumping at one of the oldest marble quarries in the U.S. It has since filled with water and makes for the raddest cliff jumping site I've ever seen. We did a little apple picking and Cardon did some bouldering to round out the weekend.
