PHILLY

Cardon's sister Kim and her family recently moved to Philly. We have been able to go out and see them twice in the last month. It has been so nice to have them so close. And we finally got to see the new baby, she's a doll.

We checked out the Love skate park.

We had some good random encounters on our first trip. First we ran across this parade. I love all the colors they are wearing, so beautiful.

I had to get a picture of this. Step it back.

We were also able to visit the Rodin museum. It is the largest collection of Rodin's works outside Paris.

Another random book festival for kids that we fell upon. It's not everyday that people cruize around in Star Wars costumes.

We went to the Redding Terminal Market. I would definitely recommend this. You can basically find any kind of food from around the world that you would ever want.

And of course we did alot of good old fashioned hanging out and just enjoying one another's company.

And we can't forget the baby. Milah is so beautiful and such a good baby. She is so much fun.

Bath time.

Thank you to Kim and Brad for having us. We had such a good time hanging out with you guys. Hopefully we will see you again soon.

ROOMIE SCROOMIE

Sorry for the lack of posts. This month has been a little busy. We have been to Philly twice to see Cardon's sister (and family, Philly pics to come soon) and last weekend i snuke off to a girls only reunion trip in San Fran with some of my college roomates/best friends. Here are a few pictures of our adventures.

Photo montage of various adventures.

With our forces combined we could save the planet!

The most recent of many "Matress Manias"

We went to a craft fair in Hayes Valley, super rad. I got Cardon the sweetest shirt from Rare Device.

Look what Cardon suprised me with when i came home. Now that's true love...or just a bunch of dirty socks.

GREEN THUMB

This last week we planted out garden. Call us geeky, but we love it. I honestly look forward to spring to be able to plant. It makes me feel more at home to have a little piece of soil to grow something. It's nothing like an apple/cherry orchard, but it pretty good for nyc. We planted scallions, roma tomatoes, zuchinni, jalapenos, green peppers, basil, cilantro, rosemary and lavendar. We didn't have too much luck with the zuchinni last year so cross your fingers so we can be makin some good zuchinni bread this summer.

Check out the goods...

Cardon tilling the soil. Gettin her ready.

Cardon's got mad skills.

Little Leah playing in the back.

We planted most of the herbs and a few peppers/ jalapenos in pots.

HARLEM, FRIENDS, MODELING, DINNER AND A CRITIQUE

Kelly looking a touch nervous... I love it.
K.P. looking a lot more comfortable into the third session of 20 minutes (five minute breaks) at this time I was cooking up some delish chicken burgers and tofu dogs.
This is Greg a lost and found friend studying here in New York, I havent seen him in like a year and since our reuniting I have seen him already 4 times this week this might have to due with us becoming tennis partners. Side note he showed me the most beautiful courts free and clean in deep Harlem around 151 st.
Crit time around 11:00 pm
Everyones pieces look great and Greg gave Kelly his to say thanks. (stoked, small fist pump)

We caught a late bus out of Harlem only after and old black lady yelled at Kelly for five minute about how white girls got booty too! It was soo funny, with a dash of weird.

SECOND BEST

Just a few gems at Queens best thrift store, Second Best.

Cardon was diggin this jacket. Can you blame him.

We found some great old books.

It has been so nice having Cardon out of school. We have had so much the past few days. Eating yummy meals with the Doxey's outside in the yard, watching movies, going on scooter rides, thrifting and playing some ridiculous games of scattergories. Now if I could only get out of going to work...

REVLON 5K

Last Saturday was the Revlon 5K. It was so much fun to have such a great team of people to run with. I have never ran a race with so many people, i am talking bodies touching like a crowded subway car at the beginning. It started at Times Square running up through Central Park and ending at 105th Street. Thank you to everyone who made donations to support cancer research for women. Our team was able to raise over $8,000! I am hoping to keep running races through the summer and work my way up to a half marathon and hopefully someday a marathon. I am running another 5K next week. Thank you again everyone for your support.

PHOTO SHOOT

This past weekend Cardon and Rob took photos of some of his work for his portfolio. It couldn't have went down better thanks to the Costello's. We had some perfect photo weather too, with a nice hidden sun. It was fun hangin out on a cool day with a cool couple casually gettin stuff done. Not to mention our delish crepe filled lunch!
I love this shot of them all set up in the backyard.

Somehow I got voted to be the hand model. Holding most of Cardon's books open. I think it's because you can't quite tell if my hands are masculine or feminine, I am going to take this as a compliment... I guess.

We got to play with poleroids. I love our billboard we have creepin out of our backyard, it changes every month or so.

Cheese!

SHE'S CRAFTY

Back when i worked at Urban Outfitters i picked up a book by Lotta Jansdotter that has wonderful, simple sewing projects. I was feeling like busting the sewing machine out this past Sunday. So i put this guy together. It was a fun and easy project for a Sunday afternoon.

GO TO THE SHOW!

We love this video by "Love You Long Time", and believe it or not they started in Rexburg, Idaho. They are sicky sweet!!! They are playing tonight in Provo at The Valoure, with our good friends, "Maple Grove". If you are in town you should definitely check them both out. You are in for a treat. If you link to Maple Grove i suggest listening to "Sea of Memories."

BEARDO NO MO!

As of recent I have been dabbling with the idea of remaking myself, with looks and a new title, thinking of going by an adjective rather than my name, like "Red" or "Dangerous." here are some of the possible styles I am toying with, Im not sure which one to go with. I love them all. Any input would be much appreciated.

IT'S TIME WE SPILT THE BEANS!!!

To your and our surprise we are happy to announce and introduce a little wee one! (as seen below)

I am only 9 weeks, but it just seems more official when you actually go to the doctor and get to see the baby. Of course getting all the blood work done, and all the usual exams, makes it also seem more real. I just keep thinking that I feel like sh-- for no reason. Now I know why... I am prego! but it just does not seem as real, until you actually go see the doc. Maybe I am just crazy, but it made me realize that I am really in for a rude awakening in life. My life is about to change here in the next few months. We will keep you posted on all the up and coming excitement. Love kp and cardo
