TRIBUTE

To our good bud Aubrey Trinnaman who just came to visit from San Fran. It was so good to be able to spend time with her, its always a riot. Cubs we miss you already. Please come again soon. A three day tease is just to painful.

I really like these pictures of Cardon and her taken while hanging out in Bryant Park. It feels so good to just hang out in the park and take in the environment. Cardon looks so relaxed, but really that is the face of someone who just drank his Jamba juice to fast.

MY MOM SAYS ITS BECAUSE I HAVE SWEET BLOOD.

Yes I know these look like some gnarly spider bites but truthfully and on a lot less of a cool bite scale, they are just run of the mill Mosquito bites, its my reaction to them that is the extraordinary part. Seriously I must be allergic and have always said I am. If a mosquito but lands on me I blow up like a balloon, they love me. We were cracking up because I came back from taking out the garbage looking like this... like I had been in the jungle fending off some large bloodsuckers to make it back home. nope just a lousy New York mosquito.

COUSIN JO JO

We have been a little busy the past 2 weeks or so with visitors. So here is a little catch up. Cardon's cousin Jordan and his girlfriend Elice
(i probably spelled that wrong, sorry) came to visit two weeks ago. It was super fun to have them, they braved the crazy heat wave. Here are a few pics of what we got up to while they were here.

We did a lot of exploring. One of our favorite places, the Green Farmers Markets at Union Square. Here is the famous peeler guy. He serious has some mad skills and jo jo couldn't resist buying one.

We checked out China Town, Little Italy, Canal Street and Downtown.

We went to the South Street Seaport. And they went to the Bodies exhibit. I was the weak link. And i wasn't sure my stomach could hack it. But by the looks of the pictures and their testimonials. It was so worth it. I think even my weak stomach would have handled it just fine.

We also ventured into Brooklyn for the day exploring. We cheked out the "Brooklyn Flea" in Fort Green. Beside dealing with the crazy heat, it was amazing. Lots of good loot. As you can see from here.

All in all another fun time with our visitors. Thanks for coming!

Cardon and i were on our way to meet some friends for dinner a few days ago and came across the new windows at Louis Vuitton on 5th avenue. Check them out, they are awesome.

PHILLY

Cardon's sister Kim and her family recently moved to Philly. We have been able to go out and see them twice in the last month. It has been so nice to have them so close. And we finally got to see the new baby, she's a doll.

We checked out the Love skate park.

We had some good random encounters on our first trip. First we ran across this parade. I love all the colors they are wearing, so beautiful.

I had to get a picture of this. Step it back.

We were also able to visit the Rodin museum. It is the largest collection of Rodin's works outside Paris.

Another random book festival for kids that we fell upon. It's not everyday that people cruize around in Star Wars costumes.

We went to the Redding Terminal Market. I would definitely recommend this. You can basically find any kind of food from around the world that you would ever want.

And of course we did alot of good old fashioned hanging out and just enjoying one another's company.

And we can't forget the baby. Milah is so beautiful and such a good baby. She is so much fun.

Bath time.

Thank you to Kim and Brad for having us. We had such a good time hanging out with you guys. Hopefully we will see you again soon.

ROOMIE SCROOMIE

Sorry for the lack of posts. This month has been a little busy. We have been to Philly twice to see Cardon's sister (and family, Philly pics to come soon) and last weekend i snuke off to a girls only reunion trip in San Fran with some of my college roomates/best friends. Here are a few pictures of our adventures.

Photo montage of various adventures.

With our forces combined we could save the planet!

The most recent of many "Matress Manias"

We went to a craft fair in Hayes Valley, super rad. I got Cardon the sweetest shirt from Rare Device.

Look what Cardon suprised me with when i came home. Now that's true love...or just a bunch of dirty socks.

GREEN THUMB

This last week we planted out garden. Call us geeky, but we love it. I honestly look forward to spring to be able to plant. It makes me feel more at home to have a little piece of soil to grow something. It's nothing like an apple/cherry orchard, but it pretty good for nyc. We planted scallions, roma tomatoes, zuchinni, jalapenos, green peppers, basil, cilantro, rosemary and lavendar. We didn't have too much luck with the zuchinni last year so cross your fingers so we can be makin some good zuchinni bread this summer.

Check out the goods...

Cardon tilling the soil. Gettin her ready.

Cardon's got mad skills.

Little Leah playing in the back.

We planted most of the herbs and a few peppers/ jalapenos in pots.

HARLEM, FRIENDS, MODELING, DINNER AND A CRITIQUE

Kelly looking a touch nervous... I love it.
K.P. looking a lot more comfortable into the third session of 20 minutes (five minute breaks) at this time I was cooking up some delish chicken burgers and tofu dogs.
This is Greg a lost and found friend studying here in New York, I havent seen him in like a year and since our reuniting I have seen him already 4 times this week this might have to due with us becoming tennis partners. Side note he showed me the most beautiful courts free and clean in deep Harlem around 151 st.
Crit time around 11:00 pm
Everyones pieces look great and Greg gave Kelly his to say thanks. (stoked, small fist pump)

We caught a late bus out of Harlem only after and old black lady yelled at Kelly for five minute about how white girls got booty too! It was soo funny, with a dash of weird.

SECOND BEST

Just a few gems at Queens best thrift store, Second Best.

Cardon was diggin this jacket. Can you blame him.

We found some great old books.

It has been so nice having Cardon out of school. We have had so much the past few days. Eating yummy meals with the Doxey's outside in the yard, watching movies, going on scooter rides, thrifting and playing some ridiculous games of scattergories. Now if I could only get out of going to work...

REVLON 5K

Last Saturday was the Revlon 5K. It was so much fun to have such a great team of people to run with. I have never ran a race with so many people, i am talking bodies touching like a crowded subway car at the beginning. It started at Times Square running up through Central Park and ending at 105th Street. Thank you to everyone who made donations to support cancer research for women. Our team was able to raise over $8,000! I am hoping to keep running races through the summer and work my way up to a half marathon and hopefully someday a marathon. I am running another 5K next week. Thank you again everyone for your support.
